newbie wants to swit

Postby SNap » 14 Dec 2004 07:51

hi,

i want to switch for a small group of online-gamers from mirc to xchat... but i need to know if following is possible with xchat:

I have a mirc script that does:
on a channel-kontext-menu-klick
- create a new channel
- switch to that channel
- sets the nick with a prefix
- send my ip as a notice to that channel
- create a msg about that channel in 'above' channel
- an external program is started

anybody that doubleclicks that channel-link is
- joining that channel
- reads the ip from the notice and puts it inn clipboard
- sets the nick to the prefix(channel-name)
- starts an external program

anybody leaving this channel is taken back to his original nick

So can someone tell me if this would be possible, please?

Thanks!

Cheers

double click in linux it is with right button, I not if I understand everything what wishes because I speak spanish, but it does not seem so complicated some things, depends in which language wishes to also do it.

start external program in perl:

Xchat::command "exec ... ";

ok it doesn't have to be a double click, a right click (even with a context.menu) would be enough... language do you mean script language so perl or python? well i don't really care ;) :)
