Did you know? [random xchat facts]
If you want to auto-remove files from the DCC windows when they are finished or aborted, you can /set dcc_remove 1. Great for file servers.

News for 2.8.7d (30/Dec/2008)

• Fixed logging in to QuakeNet using the "Nickserv password" box.
• Fixed adding a channel with "Add to Favorites" sometimes not saving to disk.
• /set -or gui_tweaks 64 will now turn OFF user list icons.
• Fixed a crash some people were having with TAB nick completion [pending verification].

I've also made a few changes to way the TAB nick completion code works, in a bid to fix the crash some people have reported. I haven't been able to reproduce the problem yet, so the investigation continues.

Have a good holiday (if you're lucky enough to get one!) and new year. 2009 will bring a few more releases than 2008, I hope Wink

That fixed it for me...I tried using a colon and a comma as my nick complete character and neither results in a crash...finally!

Thank you.

problem:
once its enabled, whois (right click menu, under userlist) gets the nickname with its current operator/voiced status character.
