Weird, action messages in different colors

In my text-events a Channel Action's nick is painted yellow, and Channel Action Hilight is completely red. It is my preference, I did it, but I am not talking about it.

What bothers me, is that Xchat alternates between "Channel Action" and "Channel Action Hilight" when displaying action messages in the channel. One user's action appears in yellow, and the next moment the other user's action in the same channel appears in red.

At first I thought channels' operator's and voiced people actions are painted red (ie. displayed as "Channel Action Hilight"). But it is not the case; there is a channop whose action messages are painted yellow as well (displayed as "Channel Action").

Please can someone explain why Xchat decides to display actions alternating between CA and CAH ? Or, how Xchat differentiates between CA or CAH ? All people I asked what exactly did they do to produce their action messages (red and yellow), replied they use a standard /me without doing anything special on their side.

Hightlights are any message that contains your nick OR any of the words listed in Preferences->Alerts->Extra words to highlight

It would be all right if those hilighted action messages contain my nick, but they don't. They also don't contain any of the words in my options for highlighted words.

However, I removed two words from Settings/preferences/alerts. They were not contained in any in hilighted action messages. Since than, hilighting stopped and now all channel action messages are OK.

Therefore, I suspect a bug in the program v2.88, as the program obviously is confused by hilighting words. Perhaps it hilights channel actions judging by only a string of just two letters in the word.

That sounds like you had spaces in the extra words to highlight field. I guess that is a bug but I haven't really looked into it.
