Non-transparent Tray Icon (nVidia Graphics)‏

Postby Mathrius » 01 Jun 2011 11:00

For some strange reasons the X-Chat System-Tray Icon isn't displayed as it should on my PC with a GeForce 8600GT and Windows XP. This only occurs if the nVidia drivers from 2011 (v260+) are installed. (Thus when starting in Safe-Mode this doesn't happen.) On my other system with the same setup/graphics driver version, but a 6600GT installed, it's shown properly. (Complete reinstallation of X-Chat or even Windows didn't help, so it's certainly a graphics card specific problem, but the nVidia support isn't able to give any help.)

So I'd like to know if anyone else with a similar graphics card model and the most current drivers (v275.33) installed has the same issue?

It would be also nice if somebody with the similar/same GeForce model (everything newer than the GF-6 Series) using the drivers from 2011 together with X-Chat without any problems, could write/report it here.

Please, you can't tell me no one has a nVidia GPU with the current 32-bit GeForce drivers...

Add.: Seems to be fixed by nVidia now (with version 280.26).
