servers list disappe

Postby mohammed510 » 05 Dec 2009 20:21

The servers and network list was disappeared from Xchat
I knew that this problem was because my disk was full
Now, I freed some space from my disk and the list didn't come back
How can I get this list again please ?

I am using Ubuntu Linux and I tried to uninstall xchat and installing it again, but it didn't work.

I am waiting for your answer . . . . .

Try using your package manager to do a "complete uninstall" of xchat, then using it again to install - it should restore the servers list. Whatever personal settings you've done should be intact but anything like the servers list should be back.

I tried :
sudo apt-get remove xchat
sudo apt-get purge xchat

And each time I install xchat again and open it I don't find the networks list . . .
I am very sad now, because I really needs xchat.

Any one can help ?!

I solved the problem using the help of the xchat channel on irc

Just delete the ~/xchat2/ directory and start xchat again

That is a bit drastic, you only need to have XChat closed and delete ~/.xchat2/servlist_.conf . When you restart XChat, the server list will be at the default.
