Now there is the ability to use GTK without X11, using the newish project Gtk+ Mac OS X, but as I am only an occasional OS X user (so far from even a developer), I don't know how well this works.
Regardless, XChat is primarily developed by one person, so it is a bit much to ask that a build for OS X be maintained, regardless of if Zed has a Mac or not.

Why doesn't the Xchat developer make a OSX binary?
We have Windows and Linux already, why not a binary for OSX?
THANKS
P.S. I know about fink, macports and homebrew and could careless to go down that road, I just want to download a binary, dump it into the Applications and be on my merry way...
Maybe if you donate me a Mac Book Pro
