documentation links

hi all. i've just started getting into hacking. i'm wondering if there is any documentation about what each source file is for and how they all relate, main data structures, etc. just to get me going.

can't seem to find any other than that about the plugins on the main page.

also the HACKING text file distributed with the source package only describe sort of syntax.
