why UTF-8 in x-chat

Postby ige » 16 Apr 2007 23:09

Hello forum,

I'm new switcher to Mac OS X, I used to connect to IRCX servers known as exchange servers which were provided by Microsoft as Microsoft Chat in Windown OS

I'm an arabic user and Microsoft Chat is supporting Arabic Nicknames in IRCX Servers

When I logged in x-chat aqua in Mac OS X, UTF-8 couldn't read arabic nicknames and it show them as code such: DR44F3J5tDE

mIRC new versions begin to support those arabic nicknames in Channel's memeber list

Is there any chance x-chat aqua program team add this great feature to us?

I have big faith on you guys

one last thing, how may I scripter who previously worked some scripts in mIRC to begin scripting to x-chat aqua? is it simple ??

These forums have nothing to do with Mac OS X let alone x-chat aqua.
