XChat 2.8.7 released [change-log/screenshots]

Discussion about the official XChat for Windows.

Postby b3n » 28 Apr 2008 14:52

Hi,

irc_whois_front <<

Is it possible to get something like this for notices from users?

Currently it drops them in one of the random channels you share with that user, often making them lost / missed.

This is my only complaint about xchat, otherwise its awesome.

Thanks

Could you paste that particular topic? Cut&paste with CTRL key down to preserve the mirc color codes.

Does it clear up if you switch to another channel and back, or if you type /TOPIC?

YES, it does. Awesome, uhu?

Some advice on keyboard problem?
Why the keyscombination in windows works and in xchat no?

I installed the 8.5 TCL version but...

[20:41:58] You must have ActiveTCL installed in order to run Tcl scripts.

[20:41:58] Make sure Tcl's bin directory is in your PATH.

Have a specific version? Or it is for all 8.5.x?
I installed ActiveTcl8.5.2

Are you sure you ticked TCL support during installation? You may just have the old 8.4 plugin.

I have tested this version without a problem:
ActiveTcl8.5.2.0.284846-win32-ix86-threaded.exe

I have a question.

Under Windows, I'm using a rather dark window theme, and I am wondering if there was a way to make the "headers" of these menus a little more legible.

As you can see, without zooming in, it's somewhat difficult to view the blue on that grey here, so couldn't there be an option where I can choose the color these are drawn in?
